God Moment

I'm sure everybody has seen the movie, "The Christmas Story," it's my favorite christmas movie to watch, if you haven't seen it where have you been. Well in the movie charlie the main character who wants the red rider beebee gun makes a visit to santa claus to hopefully convience him he wants the beebee gun. When he gets on his lap he goes blank and cant remeber what to say. At this point his tells himself, "WAKE UP STUPID," well the good lord in the only he knows how spoke that to me.

We have adopted a family at church and i have decided to buy items for the 9 year old boy. As i was shopping for the boy i was buying clothing and shoes and i was picking items up and in my thoughts i was thinking, "ahh' thats too expensive," after saying that a few times i heard it loud and clear, "WAKE UP STUPID."

I was more worried about saying money instead of giving this little boy possibly the best christmas of his life, after that i nearly bought the whole store. Here is my chance to to put smile on somebodies face and spread great joy instead i was focused on, "well if i save money i can get what i want."

This holiday season i want to remind people its alot better to give, to put a smile on somebodies face and spread great joy instead of worring about what will i get for christmas. You know there was young boy one time born on christmas who gave his life for us so we can have a way to God the father, i can't find a better example of its better to give then to recieve. He didn't have to give his life but he did, to put a smile on our face and great joy in our life.

So this holiday season, do what you can to give and not be so worried about recieving, and spread holiday cheer because i would hate for you to hear, "WAKE UP STUPID," and don't forget the most important thing, its a celebration of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY
