Senior Camp

Well i'm heading off to senior camp. This is my favorite time of summer when i go to youth camp to be apart of the staff. I love working with youth and helping them. The camp im working in is the same camp that helped changed my life, funny thing is one day i never knew i would be working in it. It's amazing how God changes our life and uses it to help shape those around us. My heart cries out for the youth of the nation, i love them so much and know deep down that have something bright inside them and i pray that one day it will shine forth bright out of them. Too many people call them our tommorrow generation, thats not true, they are our now generation, this very second generation. I ask for your prayers and join in praying if your reading this blog, my prayer and vision is that we MOBILIZES, DISCIPLES, AND EQUIP THE YOUTH OF THE NATION, TO LOVE AND CARE FOR THEM, AND TO OFFER NOURISHMENT TO OUR SPIRITUALLY HUNGRY YOUTH GENERATION and when the youth get to camp that they catch on fire for God, then when they go back home nothing or nobody will put that fire out instead that somebody or something will pour holy gasonline on that fire so that it can blaze brighter for those around them.

Convention

Covention went very well this year, even though it seemed like the attendance was down from the past couple of years, there was a great spirit of unity and joy in the convention. Brother Pense is a great man of God who has a great vision for our region. The best thing is he is wanting to re-establish connectivity and provide mutual support for each of our youth groups throughout the region. He is wanting to strengthen the effectiveness of our youth ministries throughout our region, i support him 100% and i'm very exicted with the vision he has for youth ministry in our region. I myself have been appointed to district youth minister over one of the district's in arkansas. I've been in contact today with the district overseer and have places and dates set for youth rally's. I'm exicted and ask for your prayer to help reach young people with the message of Jesus Christ; help them grow through discipleship; train and equip them, and help lead them into spiritual maturity.

Grace

I've done alot of thinking about grace lately. You know in life we make mistakes, in my life i make mistakes and fail. Sometimes i'm disobendiant, sometimes i just fail and miss the mark and i find myself sometimes on the ground and i've caused pain in my own life. The greatest thing is that our heavely father doesn't come by and kick us when were down. He picks us up and calls us out by name, "my son my daughter i love you," and he takes us back so lovenly. And i've thought about that alot lately, cause sometimes i struggle with the grace of god, after saying i'm sorry for doing this one thing, then an hour later doing the samething again and i wonder God do you still love me, do you still care no matter what? The thing is that when Jesus died on the cross his blood was shed so we could have that forgiveness and have that grace. In the power of what he has done allows to have where Paul writes and says, "There is now no condemantion for those who are in christ Jesus,". But that doesnt just give us a license to say hey i'm going to do whatever i want to do, i'm going to go off and do what i want cause God's going to forgive me. If we truely understood, if i Robert House truely understood how much he did for me and what he went thru for me the thought that should come in my mind and all our minds is the scripture that says, "We should lay our lives down as a living scarifice which is holy and acceptable unto him which is our reasonable service." We should say, "God here am i," as Isaiah said i'm a man of unclean lips, here am i, i'm yours to be used in any way possible, that should be our heart just knowing who Jesus really is and what he has done for us.

Come Home Running

Oh heart of mine, why must you stray?
From one so fair you run away
And one more time you have to pay
The heaviness of needless shame

Oh heart of mine, come back home
You've been too long out on your own
And He's been there all along
Watching for you down the road

So come home running
His arms are open wide
His name is Jesus
He understands
He is the answer
You are looking for
So come home running
Just as you are

Oh child of God so dearly loved
And ransomed by the Savior's blood
And called by name, Daughter and Son
Wrapped in the robe of righteousness

Live Abundantly

"God is the giver, and we are the receivers. And his richest gifts are bestowed not upon those who do the greatest things, but upon those who accept His abundance and His grace."

Happy Birthday America

My favorite subject in school has always been history, i love study about events in the past that have helped to change our world. Here are some intresting facts about the 4th of July. On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from Britain and Democracy was born. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the "land of the free and the home of the brave" so they can begin their American Dream. The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. Congress established Independence Day as a holiday in 1870, and in 1938 Congress reaffirmed it as a holiday. Patrick Henry once said, "Our country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ." Of the 55 men who formed the Constitution, 52 were active members of their church. Thomas Jefferson called the bible the cornerstone for American Liberty. So this 4th of July lets not forget those who fought and are fighting to give us our freedom, and lets not forget that our country was founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ. "ONE NATION UNDER GOD" HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA.

Dumb, Outrageous Church Bulletins

Here are some funny outrageous church bulletins, im sure we've all seen some in our days. For example one that Brother Guy shared with me and Bro. Greg at men's retreat, "This is private property those who cross over onto this land will be persucated to the fullest extent. Sisters of Mercy."
